This extra credit project is not really a classified project, but I tried to make it different than all the other ones I made before. The skill I used making this project was pulling the wall and making sure as I full out the second part of this project that it had a good amount of thickness. For this project, I included balance through the work of my hands and pulling the wall and contrast between the straight cylinder and almost a bow-shaped figure. This project makes me think of a sprouting flower because of it's shape.
For this lidded project, in my opinion, it was my best ceramics project yet. It has a smooth surface and a appealing look. One new skill that I learned properly in making this project was choking. Even though I did know how to choke before, Ms. Heideman taught me the real finesse and technique. I incorporated color by the way the two colors are very similar, but just enough different to notice. Also, I used proportional by how I had to fit the lid nicely in the vase-like structure. This project reminds me of forest because of how the two colors combine with each other.
